Weare seeking a talented and experienced NetApp Resident Engineer tojoin our dynamic team. As a NetApp Resident Engineer you will beresponsible for designing implementing and maintaining NetAppstorage solutions to support our clients infrastructure needs. Youwill work closely with crossfunctional teams to ensure the smoothoperation of storage systems and provide technical expertise introubleshooting and optimizing performance. The Resident Engineerwill be responsible for the successful implementation configurationand migration of NetApp storage solutions as outlined in theprojectscope.
KeyResponsibilities:
Designdeploy and manage NetApp storage solutions to meet clientrequirements.Perform installationconfiguration and maintenance of NetApp hardware and softwarecomponents.Monitor storage infrastructureperformance and capacity identifying and resolving issuesproactively.Migration Management: Overseethe migration of virtual machines (VMs) and Network File System(NFS) data to the new NetApp infrastructure ensuring minimaldisruption and adherence to projecttimelines.Collaborate with other IT teams tointegrate NetApp storage solutions with existing systems andapplications.Develop and implement storagepolicies procedures and best practices to ensure data integrity andavailability.System Health Verification:Conduct thorough health checks of both NetApp systems andassociated network switches to ensure optimal performance andconnectivity.Upgrade and Decommissioning:Facilitate the decommissioning of legacy NetApp hardware includingdata migration volume deletion and system disassembly. Coordinatefirmware upgrades for network switches and NetApp ONTAPsoftware.Knowledge Transfer: Provide handsontraining and knowledge transfer sessions to client IT staffempowering them to effectively manage and maintain the NetAppenvironment postimplementation.ProjectManagement: Collaborate with project stakeholders to define keymilestones assess project risks and ensure timely completion ofdeliverables. Communicate project status updates and escalate anyissues asneeded.
Requirements:
Bachelorsdegree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field(or equivalent experience).7 years ofexperience as a NetApp Engineer or in a similarrole.Indepth knowledge of NetApp storagesystems including hardware software andprotocols.Handson experience with NetAppONTAP SAN NAS and storage managementtools.Strong understanding of storagetechnologies RAID configurations and data protectionmethods.Proficiency in scripting languages(e.g. PowerShell Python) for automation and scriptingtasks.Excellent troubleshooting skills withthe ability to diagnose and resolve complex storageissues.Solid communication and interpersonalskills with the ability to collaborate effectively withcrossfunctional teams andclients.
PreferredQualifications:
NetAppcertification (e.g. NetApp Certified Data Administrator NetAppCertified ImplementationEngineer).Experience with cloud storagesolutions (e.g. NetApp Cloud VolumesONTAP).Knowledge of virtualizationtechnologies (e.g. VMwareHyperV).
WorkingConditions:
Thisrole will be completely onsite .Flexibleworking hours may be necessary to accommodate project deadlines andclient requirements.
