Role Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Category Marketing Manager with a strong background in fashion to oversee and elevate our e-commerce storefront. This role requires a blend of creativity, analytical prowess, and a keen eye for trends to create a seamless and inspiring experience for buyers. The ideal candidate will strategically curate products, foster connections between brands and buyers, and enhance the overall platform presence
Key Responsibilities:Trend Monitoring & Product Curation
- Stay ahead of global fashion trends by researching industry movements, consumer preferences, and emerging styles- Curate collections that align with buyer expectations, incorporating innovative designs and Indian heritage crafts
Storefront Management
- Manage and optimize the e-commerce storefront, ensuring accurate and visually appealing product information, descriptions, and images- Collaborate with brands to ensure collections align with Qala Global’s aesthetic and quality benchmarks- Enhance storefront usability to improve buyer engagement and increase conversions- Match global buyers with products and brands that meet their unique preferences and business needs- Act as a liaison between buyers and brands to facilitate customizations, private labeling, and tailored solutions
Analytics & Strategy
- Monitor key performance metrics, such as product performance, buyer behavior, and sales trends- Use data-driven insights to optimize product placements, pricing strategies, and marketing campaigns
Collaboration & Communication
- Partner with internal teams to develop and execute impactful marketing campaigns and product launches- Maintain effective communication with brands to ensure timely updates and compliance with platform standards.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Fashion, Merchandising, Design, or any related field.- Experience: 1-3 years in fashion, e-commerce, merchandising, or trend forecasting.- Strong expertise in global fashion trends and their application in product curation- Knowledge of sustainable and ethical fashion practices- Proficiency in e-commerce platforms (Shopify experience preferred) and marketing tools like Canva (Matrixify is a plus)
