Job Description/ Key Responsibilities: Country Manager - Ethiopia
1. Should be commercial savvy with an ability to understand and comprehend P&L and contribute proactively by achieving/surpassing budgeted top line (revenues) and bottom-line profit).
2. Should liason and handle banking, customs, and taxation authorities to ensure healthy statutory and legal relationship within the local bodies.
3. To ensure the achievement of agreed sales target product-wise and territory-wise of Ethiopia as per the defined yearly and monthly budgets.
4. To conduct regular joint field work with team members and evaluate the customer list, product selection, inventory etc and update the plans.
5. To enhance the existing and explore the new business potential in the country.
6. To design pricing policy to ensure products are sold at optimum price as per market requirement at optimizing point for the company.
7. Building forecasting to ensure “no excess inventory” and “no shortage of products”.
8. Handle distributor network and conflict, if any, to ensure selection of right distribution centers and maintain payment terms within 30 days along with “zero” bad debts.
9. To maintain records of all sales/marketing/sponsorship activities etc. related records and control expenses of the region.
10. To ensure sufficient stocks are maintained at all supply chain level i.e., farms, stockiest, manufacturing location etc and build measures to liquidate goods as per market requirements. Manage warehouse activities and keep stock tallied by verifying physical and digital stocks.
11. To maintain healthy business relationship with KEY customers and stakeholders like Veterinary doctors, Pharmacies, Distributors, MOH (ministry of health) officials etc. Liase with UDA as and when required to register the products and address any issue.
12. To provide on the job training and improve each team member’s effectiveness in the farms, vet counters, exhibitions etc to enhance generation of enquiries/quotation as well as ensure availability of our products with all pharmacies, retail shops, whole sellers, sub whole sellers etc.
13. To Ensure compliance with HO policies in terms of reporting and reviews through Salesforce (software)
14. To keep track of conversion/retention record, MR Wise, product wise, month wise sales vis-a vis targets, analyze variance, and provide justifications during review meetings.
15. To prepare product launch calendars based on new registration received or expected and co-ordinate with corporate PMT/Marketing team for timely receipt of launch inputs. Plan campaign and seminars along with National Marketing Manager.
Education/Other requirements:
Bachelors/ Masters in veterinary science (preferred) with Animal Nutrition specialization
MBA with Sales specialization will be an added advantage.
