Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Refrigeration Design Engineer with a minimum of 3+ years of industry experience to join our engineering team in Bangalore. The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end design and optimization of refrigeration systems used in our test chambers. This role requires a strong technical background in refrigeration engineering and a proactive approach to ensuring system reliability, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and develop innovative refrigeration systems and components for a range of environmental test chambers.- Specialize in the design of cascade refrigeration systems, ensuring the effective integration of multiple stages to achieve ultra-low temperatures.- Conduct research and analysis to enhance the performance, efficiency, and sustainability of refrigeration systems.- Perform heat load calculations to determine the cooling capacity required for refrigeration systems.- Design and develop P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams) to map out the refrigeration system layout and instrumentation.- Select suitable compressors, condensers, and evaporators, specifying detailed design parameters, including rows and column drawings. Prepare and provide a comprehensive Bill of Materials (BOM).- Create and review detailed technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.- Ensure adherence to relevant codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.- Oversee the installation, testing, and maintenance of refrigeration systems, providing technical support as needed.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical and mechanical engineers, to facilitate smooth project planning, execution, and troubleshooting.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Refrigeration Engineering, or a related field.- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in refrigeration system design and development.- Proven expertise in refrigeration principles, thermodynamics, and system optimization.- Proficiency in PID drawing software and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools.- Strong product design and mechanical engineering skills.- Effective problem-solving, analytical, and communication abilities.- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
