Jakson Group Position Title: Deputy General Manager (DGM) – Sales (Solar Module Business) Department: Solar Module Division. Location: Mumbai / Pune (1) Experience Required: 12–15 Years. With a legacy of over 75 years , Jakson has evolved into a leading solar energy brand with state-of-the-art module manufacturing facilities , advanced product quality systems, and a robust domestic and global customer base. Our Solar Module Business caters to Independent Power Producers (IPPs), EPC players, institutional clients, and C&I developers , offering world-class PV modules backed by strong after-sales and service support. Role Objective To lead the sales and business development function for Solar PV Modules across India by managing key accounts EPC clients, developing new institutional relationships, executing long-term supply contracts, and expanding Jakson’s market share in the solar manufacturing domain. Key Responsibilities / Result Areas Responsibility Area Description Key Account Management (IPP & EPC Clients) • Develop, manage, and strengthen key relationships with Independent Power Producers (IPPs), MNC developers, and major EPC players for solar module supply under various commercial models. • Lead techno-commercial discussions and due diligence to finalize Module Supply Agreements (MSA) with large clients. • Coordinate with internal teams (Quality, Legal, Contracts, SCM) to ensure technical and contractual compliance. Business Development & Sales Growth • Identify and onboard new strategic accounts across institutional, EPC, and C&I sectors. • Drive sales for Jakson PV Modules through rooftop and ground-mounted EPC partners. • Explore cross-selling opportunities with C&I and Government EPC business units. • Achieve targeted MW sales volumes and revenue growth year-on-year. Strategic Market Expansion • Develop new markets across and North & West India , • Engage with developers, investors, and consultants to create a strong business pipeline. • Build strategic partnerships with banks/NBFCs for client financing models. Techno-Commercial Evaluation • Front-end techno-commercial due diligence and finalize technical parameters for module qualification. • Review and evaluate Supplier Technical Assessment documents, QAPs, and MSAs received from IPPs and EPC clients. • Provide compliance inputs and coordinate with internal stakeholders for approvals. Tender & Bid Management • Lead the evaluation and submission of large-scale solar module tenders from government and PSU entities. • Manage proposal documentation, pricing, and negotiation to secure new business opportunities. Competitor Analysis & ROI Modelling • Develop competitive benchmarking and ROI models to support client decision-making. • Track competitor pricing, product specifications, and market movements to position Jakson effectively. Team & Channel Development • Mentor regional sales managers and executives to ensure achievement of regional sales targets. • Conduct regular training sessions on product features, business models, and policy frameworks. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Annual MW sales & revenue targets achieved Number of new IPP / EPC key accounts onboarded Tender participation & win ratio Timely signing and execution of supply contracts Market share and brand positioning improvement Gross margin & profitability from module sales
