Client develops, hosts, and operates ecosystems, that are enabled with adaptive technologies like Blockchain, AI & Data Analytics with operating expertise in the BFSI domain.

Client's flagship blockchain middleware ecosystem 'MiFiX' for the BFSI Sector provides bank grade technology with regulator authorized VAPT / VCIP compliance.

Delivers financial services including Microfinance, Finance Against Remittances (FAR), Pledge Finance, Trade.

Recognized and Commissioned by United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) in the remittances industry.

What you'll do :

- DevOps Lead Engineer.

- We are looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer with a focus on scaling best practices, reducing engineer toil, and ensuring reliability and stability of the NST Blockchain Platform.

- This engineer will lead the DevOps pod, establishing policies, practices, and a framework for how DevOps and SRE, as a part of DevOps, will work now and in the future.

- This lead engineer will also work with all engineers to understand pain points and find a balance in the "now" vs the "future", while also proposing foundational DevOps and SRE decisions and creating effective structures in this area.

- This individual will need to take into consideration performance, reliability, stability, and developer happiness to ensure that we are providing a world-class community building experience for our internal team, external contributors, creators, and users.

Priorities can change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to the following :

- Lead operations with documentation, service levels, quality, performance dashboards, and improvement efforts.

- Implement standards and procedures, work with the team to ensure conformity to standards and best practices.

- Incident management, triage the activities and work with stakeholders and communicate with timely updates.

- Prepare for and respond to audits for compliance with established standards, policies, guidelines, and procedures.

- Collaborate with Data Engineering and Data Governance Teams in release planning, training, and hand-offs.

- Proactively identify opportunities for efficiencies and ensure visibility of all operational metrics to peers and leaders.

What you will do :

- Manage the service operations to balance its reliability and delivery speed.

- Build and implement Gitlab CI/CD pipelines for deployment to Kubernetes.

- Optimize service performance, and implement monitoring strategies.

- Define standards, create documentation, and contribute to open-source projects.

- Learn and adapt to the blockchain ecosystem.

- Compute in public clouds (Azure, AWS) and nodes on-premise.

- Linux, Docker, Kubernetes (GKE), CI/CD (GitLab CI).

- Infrastructure as a Code principle (Ansible, Terraform).

- 15+ blockchains, Hyper Ledger, Node.JS applications, MongoDB, Flutter.

- Observability tools with Open Metrics format.

Requirements :

- 7+ years of software design and development experience.

- 2+ years of experience in developing software platform on blockchain technology, Hyper Ledger Fabric is preferred.

- Experience in developing software running in cloud environment.

- Experience in developing features for highly complex, distributed transaction processing systems.

- Should be able to demonstrate experience with multiple programming languages, such as Java, Go, Node.JS, and scripting languages, such as Python, Perl, shell, etc.

- Strong understanding of server virtualization technologies like Kubernetes, Docker, etc.

- Understanding of public cloud infrastructures, especially as it relates to networking and security.

- Familiarity with devOps tools and processes in a cloud environment.

- Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience working in highly distributed team settings.

- Sense of ownership, passion to build, support and maintain quality products for massive scale in collaborative, agile environment, and excitement to learn.

- You have at least 4 years of experience as Cloud or DevOps engineer.

- You have experience with the orchestration and containerization software stacks such as Kubernetes.

- You have experience with system configuration automation tools such as terraform.

- You have experience with observability tools such as Elastic, Grafana, etc.

- You have experience with GCP services or other cloud platforms like AWS / Azure.

- You communicate comfortably in English to support our engineers and customers.

- You are comfortable with an on-call duty in a distributed remote team.

- You are not afraid to come up with your own ideas.
