As a Senior DevOps Engineer at Torry Harris, you will be responsible for leading the design, implementation, and maintenance of our DevOps infrastructure. You will work closely with our development, operations, and security teams to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our systems. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud computing, automation, and software development processes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and implement scalable and reliable DevOps infrastructure using tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform.
2. Lead the automation of deployment, monitoring, and management processes using CI/CD pipelines and configuration management tools.
3. Collaborate with development teams to ensure the smooth integration of new features and releases into the production environment.
4. Identify and implement best practices for cloud security, including access control, data encryption, and compliance.
5. Troubleshoot system issues and perform root cause analysis to prevent future incidents.
6. Mentor and train junior members of the DevOps team, providing guidance on best practices and emerging technologies.
7. Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in DevOps and cloud computing, and make recommendations for improvements to our infrastructure.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in a DevOps role, with a strong background in cloud computing and automation.
- Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Expertise in containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Chef, Ansible, or Puppet.
- Strong scripting and programming skills, with proficiency in languages such as Python, Ruby, or Bash.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team.
