We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic leader to join our team as Deputy General Manager – Compliance & Regulatory. This is a senior leadership position responsible for driving the compliance framework, ensuring regulatory adherence, and mitigating legal and operational risks within the organization. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise from EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) companies and demonstrate strong governance, risk management, and compliance acumen.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and monitor the company's compliance program, ensuring adherence to statutory and regulatory requirements across all operations.
  • Stay abreast of evolving regulatory frameworks (local, state, and central) impacting EPC projects, and ensure timely implementation of necessary changes.
  • Identify compliance risks, conduct audits, and recommend measures to mitigate legal, financial, and reputational risks.
  • Draft, review, and update internal compliance policies and SOPs to align with industry best practices and legal mandates.
  • Collaborate with senior management, legal advisors, and external regulatory bodies to ensure smooth operations and timely resolution of compliance issues.
  • Lead training initiatives to build a strong culture of compliance across the organization.
  • Provide regular compliance reports and updates to the senior leadership team and Board on critical compliance matters and emerging risks

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: Minimum 20 years of progressive experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, and governance, with at least 10 years in leadership roles within EPC companies.
  • Education: Master's degree in Law, Finance, or related field; advanced certifications in compliance or corporate governance will be an added advantage.
  • Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of EPC industry regulations, environmental and safety compliance, contract management, and statutory norms.
