We operate with a clear responsibility to provide operational insights ensuring intelligence is fully integrated into the ABF operations. This strengthens the overall effectiveness of delivering a single unified vision of Intelligence across the ABF. This recruitment will seek to fill a number of existing and expected vacancies across ABF Intelligence branch including: Regional Intelligence Teams National Disruption Group (Illicit Tobacco and Vapes) Tobacco and Vapes Intelligence Financial Intelligence. Please visit our website for more information about the Department of Home Affairs or Australian Border Force Our ideal candidate Can demonstrate knowledge of and apply the intelligence cycle, undertake complex research and analysis, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a high tempo environment Can communicate clearly and concisely through verbal and written briefs and assessments and understands and applies structured analytical techniques appropriately Has an understanding of law enforcement, immigration and/or border threats and priorities Can network, engage and collaborate with others to achieve tasks Has a desire to learn and strive towards continuous improvement and is willing to share expertise and support the development of others. Duties and responsibilities Plan and scope complex intelligence analysis, detect patterns, relationships and anomalies in data Evaluate source reliability, content validity and relevance of information/data supporting the intended intelligence product Use a range of structured analytical techniques to develop inferences and conclusions regarding routine intelligence analysis and assessment production Produce intelligence outputs to meet customer requirements and departmental standards Establish, develop and maintain relationships with partner agencies to foster collaboration and two-way information sharing on intelligence matters Provide intelligence briefs and oral and written briefings for tactical and operational stakeholders and external customers. Additional information Some positions will require a Negative Vetting Level 1 Security Clearance to commence.
