Job Description:

As the Business Development Manager at Steelora's Mumbai oKice, you will play a critical role in driving sales growth and managing the field sales team. You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including purchase managers, project managers, turnkey contractors, interiors, architects, and facade consultants. Additionally, you will oversee and support the field sales executives (BDEs), monitor their daily tasks, track their progress, nurture leads, and facilitate deal closures. Regular reporting to management on sales activities and performance will also be part of your responsibilities.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Sales Leadership:

- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and market share objectives.

- Identify key market segments and opportunities for growth within the Mumbai region.

- Collaborate with the executive team to align sales strategies with overall business goals.


2. Client Relationship Management:

- Cultivate and nurture relationships with existing clients to ensure satisfaction and

loyalty.

- Proactively engage with key stakeholders, including purchase managers, project

managers, turnkey contractors, interiors, architects, and facade consultants.

- Understand client needs and requirements, and provide tailored solutions to meet

their objectives.


3. Team Leadership and Development:

- Lead and mentor the field sales team, providing guidance and support to enhance

their performance and productivity.

- Set clear sales targets and KPIs for individual team members, and monitor progress

towards goals.

- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing training and

development opportunities.


4. Field Sales Support and Monitoring:

- Monitor the daily tasks and activities of field sales executives (BDEs), ensuring

alignment with sales objectives and targets.

- Track the progress of leads and opportunities, providing guidance and support to

facilitate deal closures.

- Assist BDEs in nurturing leads, addressing client inquiries, and overcoming obstacles

in the sales process.


5. Reporting and Performance Analysis:

- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, including daily tasks, lead tracking, and

deal closures.

- Prepare and deliver regular reports to management on sales performance, including

key metrics, achievements, and challenges.

- Analyze sales data and trends to identify areas for improvement and optimization.


Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. - Proven track record of success in sales leadership roles, preferably within the building and construction industry.

- Extensive network and relationships with key stakeholders in the Mumbai building and construction sector, including purchase managers, project managers, turnkey contractors, interiors, architects, and facade consultants.

- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.

- Analytical mindset with proficiency in interpreting market data and trends.

- Proficiency in Microsoft OKice suite and CRM software.

- Willingness to travel within Mumbai and surrounding regions as required.
