Role & responsibilities
- Plan and perform operational and financial audits.
- Identify business process risks and evaluate internal control system
- Ensure accurate accounting and financial reporting in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Conduct financial due diligence for potential investments, mergers, and acquisitions.
- Manage post-funding financial compliance and reporting requirements.
- Analyze financial statements, cash flows, working capital, and key financial metrics to assess business health.
- Identify financial risks, quality of earnings, and potential red flags in financial reports.
- Work closely with legal, tax, and operational teams to ensure comprehensive deal assessment.
- Assist in valuation exercises by analyzing historical and projected financial performance.
- Monitor adherence to tax, legal, and financial compliance post-funding.
- Stay updated on industry trends, accounting standards, and regulatory changes impacting transactions.
Preferred candidate profile
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 5 years of post-qualification, accounting or auditing experience.
- In-depth knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS), IFRS, Accounting and Auditing standards, guidelines and Policies.
- Strong background and experience with audit methodologies and techniques.
- Strong expertise in Financial Due Diligence, accounting, compliance, and financial analysis.
- Experience in real estate, investment banking, private equity, or consulting is preferred.
- Proficiency in financial modelling, valuation techniques, and data analysis.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
