Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role as a Hotel General Manager at Poshtel India located in Panaji. The hotel is operational since May 2024.
The Hotel General Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the hotel, managing staff members, supervising maintenance, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The candidate will also be in charge of creating budgets, developing strategies to maximize profits, and meeting financial goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operational Management :
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring the hotel functions efficiently and provides a high level of guest satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with all hotel policies, procedures, and brand standards.
- Maintain high standards of service, cleanliness, and maintenance in all areas of the hotel.
- Manage security and safety procedures to ensure guest and staff safety.
2. Financial Management :
- Develop and monitor the hotel’s budget, ensuring profitability while controlling expenses.
- Manage pricing strategies, revenue management, and cost control initiatives.
- Prepare financial reports, analyse performance metrics, and make adjustments to improve financial outcomes.
- Work with the accounting team to ensure proper financial management and record-keeping.
3. Staff Management :
- Recruit, train, and manage hotel staff across all departments (front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, food and beverage, etc.).
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and manage disciplinary actions as necessary.
- Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork across departments.
- Provide leadership, motivation, and direction to all staff members.
4. Guest Services :
- Ensure that guest complaints and issues are resolved quickly and to the guest’s satisfaction.
- Monitor guest feedback and reviews to identify areas for improvement.
- Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure the delivery of personalised guest services.
5. Sales & Marketing:
- Work with the sales and marketing teams to develop strategies that drive business growth and increase hotel occupancy.
- Foster relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, and local businesses to generate new business.
- Oversee promotional activities, online marketing, and social media presence.
6. Compliance & Regulations:
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and legal regulations, including labor laws and environmental standards.
- Oversee licensing, permits, and insurance requirements.
7. Strategic Planning:
- Identify opportunities for hotel improvement and expansion.
- Work closely with ownership to develop long-term business strategies.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience as a Hotel General Manager or in a senior hotel management role.
- Strong understanding of financial management, budgeting, and revenue strategies.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently.
- Knowledge of hotel management software and systems (PMS, CRM, etc.).
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
Work Environment :
- This role requires a combination of office-based and operational work.
- Flexibility is required to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Corporate Management of Minimalist hotels.
SALARY RANGE: Upto 10 LPA
