Job Title: Network and Telecommunications Support Engineer

Location: Bangalore

Experience Required: 2-9 Years

Scope of Service:

  • Monitor network and telecommunications infrastructure using Elisity Platform and various other tools.
  • Provide Tier I and Tier II network support and escalate issues as needed.
  • Assist with managing incidents of all severity levels.
  • Create incidents and tasks via ServiceNow (Snow); manage problem and change requests.
  • Record detailed and accurate customer and problem information in incidents.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to work any assigned shift in a 24/7/365 environment, including weekends and holidays; must be flexible with changing shifts as needed.
  • Work experience with ServiceNow (Snow) and Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
  • Telecommunications and/or IP network job-related experience.
  • Experience with LAN and Cisco (Routing and Switching) operations and support.
  • Understanding of the design and deployment of networks (LAN, WAN).
  • Hands-on experience with routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Knowledge of switching technologies, such as VLANs, HSRP, MHSRP, VRRP, etc.
  • Deployment experience with Cisco Switches, Routers, and Access Points.
  • Experience with networking protocols, such as RIP, OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP.
  • Proficiency with L2, L3, and Multilayer Cisco Switches.
  • Understanding of VLAN, VXLAN, STP, RSTP, and various switching protocols.
  • Implement network security blueprints prepared by security architects.
  • Strong knowledge of Network Security, Access Policies, and Firewalls, with exposure to Palo Alto and Zscaler platforms.
  • Policy and VLAN configuration to meet customer business needs.
  • Rollout of LAN and Wi-Fi services.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Qualifications:

  • Cisco CCNA certification and/or relevant job experience managing and supporting Cisco technology.
  • Must be able to work any assigned shift in a 24/7/365 environment, including weekends and holidays; must be flexible with changing shifts as needed.
  • Strong understanding of Network Security.
  • Experience in Telecommunications, RF, Microwave, Wi-Fi, IP networking, and trouble resolution.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Independent problem solver and strong team player capable of making solid, fact-based decisions under pressure.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills; solid understanding of network fundamentals and concepts.
  • Service Desk/NOC experience.
