Join us in our quest to democratize learning and help individuals unleash their edge.  ROLE OVERVIEW   Skillsoft is currently seeking an exceptional Principal AI Product Manager to lead strategic initiatives within our Platform product management team. The Principal AI Product Manager will drive the vision, strategy, and execution of AI-powered learning products and features that transform how organizations develop their workforce. This role will lead cross-functional teams to deliver innovative AI/ML solutions that enhance the learning experience and drive measurable business outcomes.  KEY RESPONSIBILITIES   Define and drive product vision and strategy for AI-powered learning products, ensuring alignment with company objectives and market needs.  Lead end-to-end product development from concept to launch, including roadmap planning, feature prioritization, and go-to-market strategy for AI/ML capabilities.  Collaborate with executive leadership, engineering, data science, and design teams to translate business requirements into actionable product specifications and technical requirements.  Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for AI-driven innovation in the learning technology space.  Define success metrics and KPIs for AI products, and leverage data analytics to measure performance, user engagement, and business impact.  Manage stakeholder relationships across the organization, communicating product strategy, progress, and outcomes to executives, customers, and partners.  Champion the user experience , ensuring AI features are intuitive, accessible, and deliver tangible value to learners and administrators.  Drive AI ethics and responsible AI practices , ensuring products are built with fairness, transparency, and privacy considerations at the forefront.  Mentor and guide junior product managers and interns , fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.  Stay current with AI/ML trends and technologies , evaluating emerging capabilities and their potential application to learning and development.  Lead customer discovery and validation activities , gathering insights to inform product decisions and ensure market fit.  Manage product launches and iterations , coordinating with marketing, sales, and customer success teams to drive adoption and customer satisfaction.  SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS   Required   MBA or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field , with 8+ years of product management experience, including 4+ years focused on AI/ML products.  Expertise in AI and machine learning concepts , including natural language processing, personalization algorithms, recommendation systems, and generative AI.  Proven track record of successfully launching and scaling AI-powered products in enterprise or learning technology environments.  Strong strategic thinking and business acumen , with ability to balance user needs, technical feasibility, and business objectives.  Exceptional leadership and influence skills , with experience leading cross-functional teams and driving consensus among diverse stakeholders.  Expert-level proficiency with product management tools and methodologies (JIRA, Confluence, Agile/Scrum, roadmap planning tools).  Outstanding communication and presentation skills , with ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.  Data-driven decision-making approach , with strong analytical skills and experience with product analytics platforms.  Experience with enterprise learning technologies and understanding of L&D workflows is highly desirable.  Preferred   Experience building AI products in the EdTech or corporate learning space .  Technical background with ability to engage deeply with engineering and data science teams .  Track record of thought leadership through publications, speaking engagements, or industry contributions.  Experience with AI governance, ethics frameworks, and regulatory compliance (GDPR, accessibility standards).  International product management experience with understanding of global markets and diverse learner needs.  Our Values We are passionately committed to leadership, learning, and success.
