About the Role
As an Accounts Executive, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring the accuracy of financial records. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills.
Responsibility
  • Financial Transactions:
    Record & verify day-to-day financial transactions.
    Verify, allocate, and post transactions in the accounting system.
    Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable:
    Process invoices and expense reports.
    Prepare and send invoices to customers.
    Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
  • Bank Reconciliation:
    Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies.
    Monitor and manage petty cash.
  • Financial Reporting:
    Prepare financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement).
    Generate and analyze financial reports for management.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
    Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
    Monitor budgetary performance and report variances.
  • Audit Support:
    Provide support during internal and external audits.
    Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
  • Tax Compliance:
    Assist in the preparation of tax returns.
    Ensure compliance with local and national tax regulations.

Requirements
  • Financial Reporting Skills: Ability to generate accurate monthly reports, analyze financial data, and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Taxation Knowledge: Thorough understanding of GST/TDS regulations, experience in preparing GST/TDS returns, and familiarity with tax reconciliation processes.
  • Accounting Software Proficiency: Experience with Zoho and Tally ERP software for data entry, reconciliation, and reporting purposes.
  • Team Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to assist and collaborate with team members, as well as the ability to provide guidance and support in their roles.
  • Analytical Skills: Capability to calculate revenue sheet margins, monitor gross profits, and identify areas for improvement in financial processes.
  • Statutory Compliance Expertise: Knowledge of PF, TDS, PT return processes, and experience in handling audits, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Reconciliation Abilities: Proficient in reconciling accounting entries between different software platforms, as well as verifying invoices and purchase orders for accuracy.
  • Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication skills to liaise with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and auditors.
  • Continuous Learning: Willingness to stay updated with changes in accounting regulations, tax laws, and industry best practices.

  • Communication:
    Collaborate with internal teams to gather financial information and communicate financial information effectively to stakeholders.

Background
  • Education:
    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    Proven experience in an accounting or finance role.
    Familiarity with accounting software.
  • Skills:
    Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
    Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
    Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Certifications:
    Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA may be a plus.
    CA Finalist will also be a plus.
  • Analytical Skills:
    Ability to analyze financial data and provide insights.
