Description We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Java Engineer with extensive experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable microservices and enterprise integrations. The ideal candidate will be proficient in building secure RESTful APIs using Spring Boot, implementing OAuth and JWT security protocols, and optimizing system performance. Expertise in MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, including API design, DataWeave transformations, and integration with mission-critical systems such as Data Lake and ECM, is essential. The role requires strong leadership capabilities to guide cross-functional teams, drive DevOps practices through CI/CD pipelines and automated testing and provide technical mentorship. Excellent communication skills and a commitment to continuous learning and delivering high-quality, maintainable code are critical. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java microservices using Spring Boot, ensuring high performance and reliability. Build and integrate RESTful APIs with various enterprise systems, implementing security standards such as OAuth and JWT. Develop MuleSoft integrations on the Anypoint Platform, managing the full API lifecycle from design to deployment. Utilize DataWeave for complex data transformations, enabling seamless data flow between systems like Data Lake and ECM. Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Lead a team of developers by providing technical leadership, conducting code reviews, and enforcing best practices and architectural standards. Participate in CI/CD pipeline development and automated testing to support DevOps methodologies and continuous delivery. Proactively monitor production environments, troubleshoot, and resolve issues to maintain system stability and performance. Document service architectures, integration designs, and technical specifications for both technical and non-technical audiences. Champion continuous improvement by staying current with industry trends, pursuing certifications, and promoting DevOps best practices. Required Skills and Qualifications Experience: 8+ years of hands-on experience as a software engineer with deep proficiency in Java back-end technologies such as Java 8+ and Spring Boot. Minimum 3 years’ experience developing APIs in MuleSoft and DataWeave 2.x for data transformation and integration. Experience building and debugging microservices systems in cloud environments, with the ability to work with core AWS services. Proven experience working in Agile teams and environments. Familiarity with software engineering support systems and tools such as Git, Bitbucket Pipelines, Jenkins, Bamboo, Gulp, Gradle, Maven, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and Log4j. Knowledge of SSO solutions such as SAML, OAuth, and OpenID. Passion for technology and building common software solutions that enable faster releases. Self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision. Technical Skills: Programming Languages: Java (8+), SQL. Frameworks & Libraries: Spring Boot, Hibernate, JPA, Spring Security, OAuth2, JWT. Proficient in designing, developing, and managing RESTful APIs using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, including API design with RAML, implementation in Anypoint Studio DevOps & CI/CD: Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipeline design. Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB. Messaging & Event Streaming: Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ. Testing: JUnit, Mockito, Testcontainers, Pact. Build & Version Control: Maven, Gradle, Git. Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP (basic deployment & services). Monitoring & Documentation: ELK Stack, Prometheus, Grafana, Swagger. Strong background in DevOps methodologies, containerization, and quick adaptation to new integration platforms and tools. Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities with keen attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.
