
Senior Legal Manager

Key Responsibilities:1. Leadership & Team Management
- Lead the non-litigation legal team supporting real estate and construction projects.
- Mentor, guide, and review work of junior legal executives and associates.
- Coordinate with external consultants and legal firms as needed for specialized advice.
2. Contract Management & Negotiation
- Oversee drafting, vetting, and negotiation of critical contracts such as sale and lease deeds, joint development agreements (JDA), construction contracts, subcontractor agreements, vendor agreements, and service contracts.
- Structure agreements to balance business objectives with legal safeguards.
3. Due Diligence & Title Verification
- Manage comprehensive legal due diligence exercises on land and properties, including title clearance, encumbrances, and ownership verification.
- Ensure robust title risk management and compliance with regulatory requirements.
4. Regulatory Compliance & Approvals
- Ensure adherence to real estate laws (RERA, Land Laws), construction regulations, municipal laws, environmental laws, and other applicable statutory requirements.
- Manage relationships and coordinate with government bodies and regulatory authorities for necessary permits, approvals, and registrations.
- Keep abreast of legislative changes affecting real estate and construction and proactively advise senior management.
5. Risk Management & Advisory
- Provide strategic legal advice to business and project teams on all non-litigation matters.
- Identify and mitigate legal risks related to land acquisition, construction projects, contracts, and compliance.
- Develop legal frameworks and SOPs for handling real estate and construction matters.
6. Documentation & Record Keeping
- Ensure proper maintenance of all legal documentation, contracts, and compliance records.
- Prepare periodic reports and legal updates for senior leadership.
7. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with project management, procurement, finance, compliance, and other departments to ensure integrated legal support.
- Facilitate negotiations with vendors, contractors, developers, and joint venture partners.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Deep expertise in real estate and construction laws, regulations, and compliance.
- Strong negotiation, drafting, and contract management skills.
- Proven leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
10+ years in real estate and construction legal domain (non-litigation focus)
Qualification: LLB/LLM from a reputed university; preferably with certification or additional training in real estate law
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹42, ₹65,000.00 per month
