About Us : Samya Trust is a non-profit organization dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of homeless communities around Mumbai. Our mission is to provide cooked wholesome meals to the homeless clusters around Mumbai.


Position Overview : We are seeking a passionate and dedicated candidate to implement our feeding the Homeless Drive initiative. The Program Manager will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing food distribution events, managing volunteers, and developing partnerships with local homeless communities to ensure the success and sustainability of our feeding program.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Program Planning and Strategy:

Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of programs for homeless community.

Assist in developing and implement a strategic plan for the Feeding the Homeless Drive.

Conduct survey and assessment of the homeless clusters in the city.

Set program goals, objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and make necessary adjustments.

Collaborate with program Head to ensure the effective implementation of projects and initiatives.


2. Food Procurement and Distribution:

Coordinate procurement of raw ingredients, fresh vegetables, and other local vendors for

the Industrial kitchen.

Coordinate, Plan and execute preparation of the meals with the kitchen team as per the

fixed menu in compliance with health and safety regulations.

Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure the effective implementation of projects and

initiatives.

Conduct food distribution drive in the community.

Ensure the equitable and efficient distribution of food to homeless individuals and families.

Build rapport with the local volunteers and homeless community to understand their needs

and requirement.


3. Reporting and Documentation:

Assist in maintaining records of program activities, including meal drive and other programs.

Prepare regular reports on program outcomes, challenges, and opportunities.

Collating case studies and individual stories of impact and change.

Use data to inform program improvements and decision-making.

Provide administrative support to program managers and the program team.


4. Community Engagement:

Collaborate with other departments like PR and Marketing, Resource Mobilization, and

procurement.


Qualifications:

Bachelor & /Masters degree in a related field (Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Social Sciences etc.) preferred.

Fresher are welcomed to apply.

Previous experience in non-profit work, social services, or community outreach is a plus.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Empathy, patience, and the ability to work with diverse populations.

Organizational and time-management skills.

Proficiency in MS Office and data management tools.
