Why Is This Role Important?
We are assembling an exceptional team of engineers to tackle challenges in Demand Planning, Revenue Growth Management, and other areas of Demand-Supply Agility in CPG and Retail.
We deliver outcomes that surpass current benchmarks by 5%-10%, transparently and at scale.
Achieving best-in-class accuracy, scalability, and explainability simultaneously requires top-tier talent.
Role Summary :
- As a Lead Engineer - Backend, you will play a pivotal role in driving the development of our SaaS products.
- You will lead by example, guiding a team of talented engineers in the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable backend systems.
- Your focus will be on creating robust solutions that ensure high performance and responsiveness, while also integrating front-end elements of our AI SaaS application modules.
- You will solve complex revenue-growth challenges at the intersection of demand and supply for Fortune 1000 CPG/FMCG companies.
Experience Required :
- SaaS Product Development : Proven experience in developing and scaling SaaS products.
- Leadership & Mentoring : Demonstrated experience in leading and mentoring backend development teams, with the ability to foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
- Strong Coding & Node.js Expertise : Mastery of Node.js is required, along with strong coding and algorithmic skills in one or more programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java.
- Architectural Design : Expertise in designing and implementing scalable, distributed backend systems.
- REST & GraphQL Frameworks : Proficient in REST frameworks (Flask, Django, Node, Go) and experienced in building GraphQL queries/mutations, preferably using Python.
- Microservices & Data Handling : Extensive experience in developing scalable microservices using Flask/Django/Node/Java, and handling large datasets to improve latency.
- Database Management : Proficient in SQL and NoSQL databases, with experience in optimizing application and database performance.
Good to Have :
- Familiarity with GIT, JIRA, and other software engineering processes.
Roles & Responsibilities :
- Lead the backend engineering team to design and implement efficient, scalable software solutions.
- Architect and maintain the backend systems, ensuring they meet performance and reliability standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate front-end elements and solve business challenges.
- Drive the development and deployment of new features, ensuring they align with business goals.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Own the performance management of applications and databases
