Role Name: Senior/Lead Engineer - Backend

Location: Bangalore | Hybrid

Reporting to: Director of Engineering

Direct Reports: None (Senior individual contributor role)

Why This Role Is Important:

We are building a top-tier team to tackle challenges in Demand Planning, Revenue Growth Management, and Demand-Supply Agility in CPG and Retail. We aim to exceed current benchmarks by 5%-10% and require exceptional talent to achieve high accuracy, scalability, and explainability.


What You Will Do:

  • Lead the backend engineering team to design and implement efficient, scalable software solutions.
  • Architect and maintain backend systems to meet performance and reliability standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate front-end elements and address business challenges.
  • Drive the development and deployment of new features in alignment with business goals.
  • Mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the performance management of applications and databases.


Experience Required:


  • SaaS Product Development: Proven experience in developing and scaling SaaS products.
  • Leadership & Mentoring: Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor backend development teams, promoting a culture of learning and innovation.
  • Strong Coding & Node.js Expertise: Mastery of Node.js is essential, along with strong coding and algorithmic skills in languages such as Python, C++, or Java.
  • Architectural Design: Expertise in designing and implementing scalable, distributed backend systems.
  • REST & GraphQL Frameworks: Proficient in REST frameworks (e.g., Flask, Django, Node, Go) and experienced in building GraphQL queries/mutations, preferably with Python.
  • Microservices & Data Handling: Extensive experience in developing scalable microservices and handling large datasets to enhance performance.
  • Database Management: Proficient in SQL and NoSQL databases, with experience in optimizing application and database performance.
  • Software Engineering Processes: Familiarity with GIT, JIRA, and other software engineering practices.
