Python Developer – Python + MongoDB

About the Role We are hiring a Core Python Developer with strong experience in MongoDB to work on backend services that power the HealthSigns platform, including our EMR, Smart Scan, Smart Labs, transcription pipelines, and AI-driven clinical workflows. This role is central to building our Intelligence Kernel , which integrates AI reasoning, automation, and healthcare-grade data processing. Key Responsibilities Backend Development (Primary) Develop backend services and REST APIs using Python. Design MongoDB schemas, indexes, aggregation pipelines, and optimize query performance. Implement background workers, task queues, and scalable data flows. Integrate with AI/LLM outputs (transcription, Smart Scan, clinical reasoning). Ensure system reliability, security, role-based access, and detailed audit logging. Handle complex healthcare workflows involving EMR, orders, labs, and billing modules. Data & Platform Integration Convert unstructured model output into validated, structured clinical data. Build interfaces between backend, AI engines, and external systems (HIS/LIS/EMR). Implement fallbacks, confidence scoring, and error-handling mechanisms. Work closely with DevOps, QA, and frontend teams to deliver production-ready modules. Required Skills Python (4–6 years) , FastAPI/Flask, microservices, REST API development MongoDB (strong hands-on expertise) Schema design Aggregation pipelines Performance optimization Indexing strategy Experience building scalable backend systems Strong understanding of authentication, RBAC, logging, and integrations Familiarity with Git and CI/CD Strong debugging and problem-solving skills Bonus Skills Healthcare domain experience (EMR, LIS, HIS) Familiarity with OCR/LLM/NLP pipelines Cloud exposure (Azure/AWS) Soft Skills High ownership attitude Ability to work independently and collaboratively Strong communication and documentation habits Comfortable working in a fast-paced, product-driven environment Why Join HealthSigns?
