Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Description:
Fairfest Media Limited, the organizer of OTM, TTF, Municipalika and BLTM is an established leader in trade shows in India, with clients from over 60 countries.
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Accounts Payable Executive. The successful candidate will play a crucial role managing the financial obligations of the company by processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices and payments in a timely and accurate manner. They play a crucial role in maintaining positive relationships with vendors and ensuring that all financial transactions are properly documented and recorded.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts payable processes, including both domestic and international vendor payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Facilitate the onboarding of new vendors and maintain comprehensive vendor databases, ensuring all Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements are met.
- Coordinate with banking institutions regarding Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS), National Electronic Funds Transfer (NEFT), and online banking transactions to facilitate timely payments.
- Demonstrate expertise in Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) regulations and rates, ensuring adherence to statutory requirements.
- Possess a foundational understanding of Goods and Services Tax (GST) principles to support compliance and reporting obligations.
- Provide assistance during statutory audits, GST audits, and other due diligence processes, contributing to the integrity of financial reporting.
- Utilize proficient skills in Tally software for effective accounting management and reporting.
- Willingness to travel for events and exhibitions as necessary to support business objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 2 - 3 years of proven experience in accounts payable roles.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements (e.g., tax laws, SOX).
