About the Team - The RBS group is an integral part of Amazon online product lifecycle and buying operations. The team is designed to ensure Amazon remains competitive in the online retail space with the best price, wide selection and good product information. The team’s primary role is to create and enhance retail selection on the worldwide Amazon online catalog and reduce defects. The tasks handled by this group have a direct impact on customer buying decisions and online user experience.
Roles and responsibilities:
An L5 Operations manager is expected to independently own business processes and metrics, establish processes for measuring, tracking, and driving continuous improvements. They Forecast and plan capacity to meet the business needs and drive a culture of quality and process excellence. They also effectively partner and manage stakeholders and build scalable solutions that solve business problems and drive adoption across teams. The Operations manager is also expected to hire, mentor and develop a high performance team, identify and groom top talent, develop leadership principles within the team and continuously raise the bar. In a nutshell:
· You will be responsible for an Operations team supporting multiple categories, works with vendors to ensure a reliable and operationally effective flow of products, and interact directly with Amazon internal customers across the globe to deliver to their requirements and work directly with the Category team to ensure the overall health of the processes is good. Duties may include, taking part in planning, organizing and directing the work of subordinates or others, outline procedures and instructions on work received, make time estimates on new jobs received, check accuracy / quality of content creation / population done by others, ensuring records are maintained accurately, ensuring utilization of team is high, mentor and train new team members.
· Work with various internal teams (e.g. supply chain, fulfillment center, system teams) to help drive tools and process improvements that impact reduction of defects.
· Work closely with internal product and project teams to design scalable and auto-resolution solution.
· Manage the team of Managers and or individual contributors and ensure high service delivery and execution
· People Management
· Analyzing Trend.
· Formulate, Implement, Track career path & Individual Development Plans of each member in the Team

Key job responsibilities
The core focus for Retail Efficiency Program will be to reduce cost to serve for Retail by contributing in Retail HC time savings or avoid incremental Retail HC being hired.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 2+ years of program or project management experience
- 3+ years of team management experience
- Experience leading process improvements
- Experience with data analysis and business case development, and managing programs from concept to implementation

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Knowledge of data mining using SQL
- Experience in translating business needs into detailed feature requirements
- Experience in e-commerce/Hi-tech/Retail industry or management consulting with focus on one of these industries
