We are developing a High Productivity Farming and Plantation (fruits, wood, and herbs) business using best practices and considerable knowledge that has been developed in the areas of Organic Farming, Permaculture and Forestry Management. Such programs for critical for meeting the critical challenges of not only climate change but also food, health, water and soil degradation, urban congestion, poor econimic health of farmers etc.


The first projects will be around Tirunelveli Tamil nadu where a cluster of about 100 acre land has been acquired. This wll be scaled up to other parts of India over 3-5 years time frame.


Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations
  • Develop local supply sources for variety of inputs
  • Establish local relationships in the community
  • Develop relationships with buyers for organic produce
  • Participate in development of digtial knowledge base and transaction platform


Qualifications

  • Bachelo'rs degree in science, agricltue, forestry or plantation management
  • Knowledge or Tamil as well as Hindi and/or English.
  • Passion for nature conservation and eco-system restoration
  • Experience in farming will be an added advantage
