Job Summary:

The Sous Chef (Modern Indian Cuisines) supports the Executive Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring exceptional food quality, efficient staff performance, and adherence to safety standards. They contribute to menu development, supervise kitchen staff, and maintain a clean, organized, and cost-efficient workspace.

Key Responsibilities:

- Kitchen Operations: Oversee daily food preparation, Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff to maintain quality standards.- Menu and Food Quality: Assist in menu creation and testing, Ensure consistent preparation, presentation, and portion control.- Leadership and Supervision: Train and mentor staff in techniques and safety standards.- Inventory and Cost Control: Manage inventory, minimize waste, and control food costs.- Health and Safety: Enforce sanitation and safety protocols. Maintain and clean equipment for compliance with health regulations.- Customer and Team Collaboration: Address customer feedback effectively. Coordinate with front-of-house for seamless service.

Qualifications:

- Culinary degree or equivalent experience.- 5-7 years in a professional kitchen, including leadership roles.- Expertise in cooking techniques, leadership, and communication.

Competencies:

- Strong time management, creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork.- Attention to detail in food preparation and presentation.
