The Controls Advisory is responsible for engagement delivery pertaining to Sarbanes-Oxley 404 compliance requirements. Responsibilities include performing audits of Business Process controls testing. The Senior Associate works closely with Assistant Managers or managers and plays a key role in client management and practice development
Roles and Responsibilities:
Execution on client engagement – Ensure quality delivery as per client requirements
Determine that the work delivered is of high quality through self-review process with respect to complete and accurate documentation of testing results and review others’ documentation according to regulatory guidelines
Conducting tests of Design and Implementation and Operating effectiveness of control Creating process documentation i.e. narratives, flowcharts and Standard operating procedure
Ensure compliance with engagement plans and internal quality & risk management procedures of the firm
Anticipate and identify engagement related risks and escalate issues as appropriate on a timely basis
Identify & internally escalate and potential red flags related to the engagement on a timely basis
Qualification :
Chartered Accountant/ Certified Internal Auditor/ Certified Information Systems Auditor/ master’s in business administration (major in Finance)/ Bachelors degree.
Skills:-
Candidates should have proficient knowledge (in execution) in areas of:
Governance, risk and compliance (GRC)
Should have experience and knowledge about Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) 404 audits
Experience in Business Process control testing covering processes i.e. Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivables, Financial Statement Close, Equity, Inventory, Payroll and Human Resources, Treasury, Investments and Entity Level controls.
Internal audits (IA), financial statement audits, revenue assurance audits, compliance audits, etc.
Awareness of internal audit standards issued by IIA, ICAI & ISACA
Knowledge of GAAP, Auditing standards and Accounting Standards.
Microsoft office tools (Word, Excel, Power point)
Experience : 2 to 5 yrs
