Job Description
Technical Skills Required:
Experience with Robotic Hardware: Proficiency in handling motors, actuators, sensors (e.g., Lidar, IMU), and embedded boards.
Knowledge of Robotic Applications: Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in robotic applications.
Testing and Debugging: Expertise in manual and automated testing, including black-box testing, system troubleshooting, and various test measurement techniques.
Embedded Systems and Firmware: Knowledge and experience in testing embedded systems, firmware, and hardware.
Operating Systems and Frameworks: Proficient in using the Linux operating system and the ROS (Robot Operating System) framework.
Hardware and Software Integration: Experience with hardware such as PLC and Arduino, and skills in regression, integration, endurance, component/system, and user/field acceptance testing.
Programming and Scripting: Ability to create automation scripts and tools for robot testing.
Documentation and Process Improvement: Skilled in creating onsite commissioning checklists, process documentation, and continuously improving testing procedures.
Behavioral Skills Required:
Ability to mentor and guide team members, providing technical and emotional support to achieve performance targets.
Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Proficiency in troubleshooting and debugging issues, providing timely and effective solutions.
Flexibility to handle diverse tasks and quickly adapt to new technologies and processes.
Have a keen eye for detail to ensure thorough testing and accurate documentation.
Ability to resolve team grievances promptly and escalate issues when necessary.
Capability to conduct reviews and provide constructive feedback to sustain or improve team performance.
Ability to understand team members’ strengths, weaknesses, and professional and personal goals.
Job Responsibilities
Establish the process for Validation and on-site Commissioning.
Creation of an onsite commissioning checklist and documentation of the process. Creation of test/use cases based on Mobile Robotics solutioning onsite. Site specific release planning with defect mapping.
Creation of automation scripts and tools for robot testing.
Support production and mechanical engineering teams in the configuration of robots.
Delivering high-priority offsite and onsite support for any encountered issues, with a focus on providing L1 and L2 support.
Assuming responsibility for troubleshooting and rectifying any bugs identified during project implementation, ensuring resolution under the L1 and L2 support frameworks.
Follow and improve the testing process and procedures.
Provide job enrichment through an effective delegation of tasks.
Support in creation of product and project documentation.
Provide guidance, mentorship, & support (technical/emotional) to the team to achieve performance targets; ensure support from cross-functional teams if required.
Conduct daily performance reviews as per the frequency of each team member and provide effective feedback to sustain/improve performance.
Provide development opportunities to the team by nominating them for relevant training programs, conducting on-the-job technical sessions for the team.
Address team grievances promptly, escalating to HRBP for resolution if necessary, while also recognizing and rewarding employees for their exemplary work in front of senior management and through the R&R platform.
