Role Description in Summary
This is a full-time on-site role for an Assistant Retail Store Manager at SAKU in Gurugram. The Assistant Store Manager will assist the store manager in overseeing the daily operations of the retail store, including managing staff, optimising store performance, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving sales, managing inventory, handling retail loss prevention, and overseeing store operations.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Overall Store P&L & Strategy
- Develop and assist in implementing strategies to achieve sales targets and increase store profitability
- Plan and execute in-store events and promotions in collaboration with the marketing team to ensure higher sell-through
- Develop, strategise, improvise and follow SOPs for efficient store operations
Exceptional Customer Service
- Ensure exceptional customer service is provided at all times, reflecting the brand standard
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional manner
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with high-profile clients/stylists/influencers and VIPs
Team Management
- Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team
- Set clear performance expectations and conduct regular performance reviews
- Foster a positive and motivating work environment
Stock Management
- Oversee stock levels and ensure inventory is managed efficiently, without any pilferage
- Set action plans to optimise product and stock management
Visual Merchandising
- Visual merchandising - ensure the store's visual presentation meets the brand’s standards.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and safety in the store
Reporting
- Prepare and submit regular reports on sales, customer feedback, and store performance.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in retail apparel stores (preferably in MBOs, EBOs with multiple categories)
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- In-depth knowledge of the premium fashion industry
- Proficiency in retail management software and MS Office
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
