Key Accountabilities:

The Assistant / Deputy Business Development Manager is responsible for planning and implementation of all Business Development activities in line with business targets. BD Manager develops company marketing and sales visit plans. They ensures that the operations and project management teams are provided with marketing support throughout the life of the contract.

Business Development

To develop the company BD plan / revenue / forecast in conjunction with BLM. To maintain regular contact / relationship with key clients and new clients via sales visits and presentations.

To help maintain CRM / Avalon system to ensure Business Development leads are appropriately administered and actioned.

To maintain/develop commercial market knowledge to aid tendering strategies; Close co – ordination with marketing team and client for participating in corporate hospitality events and promotions.

To provide market information and assessments to management as required Ensure efficient use of assets and manpower, including facilitation and coordination within Business Lines (e.g. Project Managers)

Close co – ordination with commercial and proposal team to ensure timely production of detailed technical/commercial proposals in compliance with company and customer requirements.

To keep abreast of advantageous new technologies which may be promoted to clients; Inter OPCO liaison and development of productive relationships with key sister companies

To keep updated with current company offshore practice

To ensure BD activities are conducted in accordance with company’s QA/HSE processes Regular updation of client contacts within CRM Market / Competitor information analysis

To assist in strategic market related decisions – e.g. vessel deployments and new investments. Generate and pursue business leads / opportunity for order conversions.

Operations

Assist operations at project start-up in preparation of project budgets and cash flows. Advise operations on specific aspects that need to be considered on projects. Any other work as assigned by the Company.

Qualifications required:

Graduate or Equivalent in surveying/engineering.

MBA in Marketing will be preferred.

Skills / experience required to do the job:

Minimum 5 years experience in survey industry or similar industry.

Experience in project management will be preferred.

Thorough knowledge of company’s core business.

Conversant in English Language.

Excellent communication skills ( verbal and written ) & pleasing personality.

HSE Responsibilities:

Responsible for ensuring safety of self and others at site. Prevent damage of equipment and assets Responsible for following all safety signs/procedures/ safe working practices Responsible for using appropriate PPE’s Responsible for participating in mock drills. Entitled to refuse any to undertake any activity considered unsafe. Responsible for filling up of hazard observation card, wherever hazard has been noticed at site. Responsible for safe housekeeping of his work place. To stop any operation that is deemed unsafe To be able to operate fire extinguisher in case of fire To report an incident as soon as possible to immediate supervisor and HSE manager To complete HSE trainings as instructed to do so.
