Role Overview
We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Area Sales Manager with strong expertise in Agri, Tractors, Farm Machinery, or AgriTech solutions (including Agri Drones). The ideal candidate will drive sales growth through dealer network expansion, new customer acquisition, and B2B engagement, while managing end-to-end sales processes within the assigned territory.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business Development
- Develop and execute the area sales plan to achieve assigned sales targets.
- Drive new business acquisition by identifying and onboarding dealers, distributors, and business partners.
- Build and manage a strong pipeline/funnel for the region, ensuring consistent lead generation and conversion.
- Manage end-to-end sales cycle: prospecting, lead qualification, proposal, negotiation, and closure.
- Maintain strong relationships with dealers, channel partners, and key customers in the territory.
- Collaborate with the technical and senior management teams to refine proposals and close deals.
- Support and execute product launches, marketing campaigns, and customer engagement activities in the region.
Operations & Channel Management
- Ensure on-time billing, delivery, and collection of payments from dealers/customers.
- Drive dealer/distributor performance to achieve monthly and annual targets.
- Monitor competitor activities and market trends to identify growth opportunities.
- Ensure fulfillment of the sales budget through effective area coverage and dealer support.
Knowledge & Skills Required
- Strong dealer acquisition, channel management, and B2B sales experience.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to coach and motivate the sales team (where applicable).
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
- Computer proficiency (MS Office, CRM tools).
- Proactive, target-driven, and result-oriented mindset.
Qualifications
- BE/B.Tech in Engineering + MBA in Marketing/Sales (preferred).
- 8–12 years of experience in channel sales, dealer network management, and territory sales.
- Industry exposure in AgriTech, Tractors, Farm Machinery, Implements, or Agri Drones.
- Proven track record as an Area Sales Manager / Territory Sales Manager / Regional Sales Lead.
- Ability to measure and analyze KPIs (ROI, sales metrics, conversions).
