Industrial Model Developer

JuliaHub is seeking a talented and experienced Developer with expertise in industrial modeling and simulation to join our team. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of new model libraries for JuliaSim, encompassing various domains such as mechanical, hydraulic, thermal, and electrical modeling. You will also play a key role in building digital twins of complex systems, including HVACs, batteries, and vehicles. Key Responsibilities: Develop and expand model libraries for JuliaSim, particularly in mechanical, hydraulic, thermal, and electrical domains. Build digital twins for systems such as HVACs, batteries, vehicles, and other industry-relevant applications. Collaborate with industry experts to gather and understand customer requirements and integrate them into model development. Work with Git-based workflows and utilize test-driven development and CI/CD pipelines for efficient and high-quality software development. Required Qualifications: Domain knowledge in either Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical engineering fields. Experience using numerical solvers to build and solve 1D models. Proven experience with acausal domain modeling tools such as Modelica, Simscape, Amesim, or/and GPROMs. Proficiency in Git-based workflows, test-driven development, and working with CI/CD pipelines. Knowledge of numerical computing with experience in Julia, Matlab, Python, or Fortran, etc. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Julia, SciML, DifferentialEquations.jl and ModelingToolkit.jl to develop scalable and high-performance models.
