Job description
Role Title- Business Development Manager
Location- Pune, Chennai & Bangalore
Reports - Manager Sales
Role & responsibilities
Responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities in assigned objective of achieving maximum profitability and growth in line with company budget, vision and values closely working with RSM
Develop a business plan and sales strategy within the Team for and ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability working closely with RSM.
New Client Acquisition to exceed budgets for prospecting calls, appointments, presentations, proposals and closures.
Prepare action plans for effective search of sales leads and prospects.
Initiate and coordinate development of action plans to penetrate organization & explore new markets.
Assists in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed by the RSM.
Provides timely report / review / feedback to RSM regarding performance.
Maintains accurate records of all sales and activity reports and work closely with pricing / CS & Ops to share feedback and ensure there full support for new business on boarding.
Successfully documents customer specific requirements & smoothly transitions the New Accounts secured to the Operations team.
Undertakes cross selling and deep selling within existing customer to further develop account potential through end to end supply chain.
To maintain and ensure to get new business prospect listing along with future new business development is planned in advance.
Manages RFQ's, tenders and quotes for Business and achieve a high success rate in closing deals.
Develops SOP's for Strategic Accounts with associated internal colleagues where applicable, to detail all processes, rate structure, and capturing of customer identified KPI.
Delegates authority and responsibility with accountability and follow-up to concerned Customer service / Operations / pricing team members to customer delight.
Maintains contact with all clients in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
Demonstrates ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees.
Maintain healthy and respectful atmosphere within the team.
Preferred candidate profile
. Bachelors degree
. Candidate with Field Sales experience from Freight forwarding background important.
. Good Communication Skills
. Experience in handling Client relations
