Role:
US Payroll - Senior Analyst

Location: Chennai

Experience Required: 5 - 7 Yrs

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in commerce (B.Com / M.Com)

Preferred joining:
Immediate or within 15 days

Key Responsibilities:

Employee Data Management
– collecting/maintaining employee info, tax forms (W-4 for employees, W-9 for contractors).

Timekeeping & Attendance
– capturing working hours, overtime, PTO, sick leave.

Payroll Calculation
– gross wages, overtime, bonuses, commissions, deductions.

Tax Withholding & Deductions
– Federal, State, Social Security, Medicare, 401(k), insurance, garnishments (W-2 only).

Payment Processing
– issuing payments via direct deposit, checks, or payroll cards.

Compliance Reporting
– filing payroll taxes, generating pay stubs, maintaining records.

Year-End Reporting
– W-2 for employees; 1099-NEC for contractors.

Audit & Reconciliation
– verifying payroll accuracy and resolving discrepancies.

Benefits Administration
– deductions for health, retirement, other benefits (employees only).

Assist in the preparation of internal and external financial statements in compliance with US GAAP

Ensure transactions are well-documented and audit-compliant.

Prepare audit schedules and respond to auditor queries.

Coordinate with payroll providers or internal systems. Post payroll-related journal entries (wages, taxes, benefits).

Candidate Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Commerce (B.Com / M.Com) or MBA in Finance

Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting functions.

Proficient in accounting software and related financial systems.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Willingness and flexibility to work night shifts as required
