**Role: US Payroll Executive**
**Location: Madurai / Chennai**
**Work mode: Night shift (WFO)**
**Timekeeping Integrity-Payroll auditing
- looking for 2-3 FTE**
Our payroll leader is looking to restructure and improve the timekeeping and payroll processes across the system, particularly in light of the current limitations and challenges with the UKG system, manager interventions, and downstream payroll impacts. For your reference -SOC stands for Systems Operations Center, which handles the majority of scheduling for nursing and support roles.
**Key Drivers for Support Request**:
- Manager Involvement Issues: Too few people are entering timecards, with managers making manual adjustments that often lead to errors, especially in states like Minnesota where wage laws are strict.
- Historical Corrections: A high volume of retroactive pay changes is creating payroll inconsistencies.
- System Complexity: The UKG system (system of truth) flows to Lawson, but includes numerous variables such as tax rules, pay codes, contracts, and bill rates across different states.
- Training Gaps: Lack of manager training on timecard procedures is contributing to errors and variances.
- Need for Proactive Support: Support team would not only process edits but also proactively educate, audit, and reduce recurring issues through continuous improvement efforts.
**Proposed Support Plan**:
- Backfill and Expand Team: Add 3 FTEs to manage timekeeping processes, historical edits, documentation, and training.
- Dual-Team Model: Consider weekend or IST-friendly support to manage load and ensure continuous coverage.
- Process Development: Create standardized procedures and a clear documentation trail for SOC and non-SOC workflows.
- Education and Outreach: Engage in proactive education of managers and teams to reduce errors and improve compliance.
- Matrix Coordination: Coordinate with payroll to manage state-specific tax and rate variations.
Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹2,000,000.00 per year
