Quality Assurance Director

We are looking for an accomplished Director of Quality Engineering to join our team in Chennai. This role requires a dynamic leader to manage and mentor a team of 25 quality engineers, fostering a culture of excellence. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive testing strategies, collaborating with cross-functional teams, driving automation initiatives, and ensuring quality is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC). This is an on-site role, and candidates must be based in Chennai for in-person discussions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of quality engineers, fostering a high-performance and collaborative environment.
  • Develop and implement testing strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Oversee automation initiatives and ensure seamless integration of quality practices across the SDLC.
  • Analyze quality metrics, identify areas for improvement, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and adherence to industry standards.


Desired Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in software engineering and quality assurance, with a strong focus on automation.
  • Proven track record in leading and managing large teams of engineers.
  • Expertise in testing frameworks and tools such as Selenium, JUnit, and TestNG.
  • Hands-on experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to quality.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and DevOps practices is an advantage.


Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
