Job Summary: The General Manager – is responsible for overseeing and managing all Production and associated operational deliverables (utility, Quality, safety etc) to ensure efficiency, quality and safety. This role demands strategic planning, leadership, and collaboration with various functions to enhance productivity, profitability and operational excellence. Operational Excellence i) Develop and implement operational strategies to meet production goals and improve efficiencies in various processes. ii) Monitor daily operations, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards & best practices. iii) Optimize resource utilization (manpower, materials, and machinery) Production, Utility & Quality monitoring i) Plan, schedule, and oversee production activities to meet deadlines and customer (Sales) forecast. ii) Ensure adherence to production targets, quality benchmarks, and cost-effectiveness. iii) Ensure comprehensive maintenance strategy to ensure operational reliability and efficiency. iv) Establish preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and improve equipment lifespan. Process Improvement & Innovation i) Benchmark latest developments and innovations to achieve advancements for value added services and keep abreast with latest technologies in plant and machinery. ii) Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies. iii) Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to enhance performance.  iv) Work with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies or methods that enhance production efficiency and product quality. v) Implement training programs and performance standards to uphold product quality & excellence in service delivery. Budget and Cost Control i) Prepare and manage operational & Production budgets, ensuring cost efficiency without compromising quality. ii) Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving initiatives. Community and Stakeholder Relations i) Represent within the local community and participate in community events and initiatives. ii) Maintain relationships with suppliers, contractors, and regulatory bodies. Build positive relationships with stakeholders, including Leadership Team members, collaborate with other departments (e.g., Sales, Business Development etc.) to align operations with business objectives. Health & Safety Compliances i) Ensure the plant adheres to all health, safety, and environmental regulations. ii) Promote a safe Healthy working environment through regular audits and training sessions. Team Leadership i) Lead, mentor, and manage production & other related teams, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. ii) Conduct regular learning and development programs to enhance team capabilities Reporting, MIS & Communication i) Prepare and present reports on overall performance, quality metrics, and improvement initiatives to Board of Directors.  Desired Skill Set: Qualification  - BE/ BTech, Industrial Management, preferably MBA with (12-14) years of experience. Proven track record of successfully managing driving operational excellence and process improvements. Keen eye for detail and inclination towards highest quality standards. Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, and safety standards. Proficiency in ERP systems, production planning and data analysis tools 6- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies is an added advantage.
