Role Overview

The Interior Design Manager will play a pivotal role in leading client projects from concept through completion. This role combines creative visioning with operational leadership, ensuring that every space we deliver remains true to the MarbleLotus ethos of merging modern luxury with rich heritage.

Role & responsibilities

  • Lead Project Delivery: Oversee full-service design initiatives including space planning, 3D renderings, material selections, furnishings, fixtures, and custom cabinetry
  • Design Leadership: Lead end-to-end interior design projectsfrom conceptual ideation to design executionmaintaining our signature balance of heritage storytelling and modern aesthetics.
  • Client Collaboration & Experience: Maintain transparent communicationfrom mood boards and site check-ins to accurate timelines and budgetsto delight clients and build trust.
  • Team Coordination: Mentor junior designers and liaise with freelance 3D artists, ensuring each project milestone is met with quality and cohesion.
  • Technical Delivery: Produce refined 2D plans, 3D renderings, detailed technical drawings, and mood boards; work closely with architects, contractors, and artisans to ensure flawless implementation.
  • Project Management: Manage project schedules, budgets, documentation, procurement of materials (marble, brass, textiles, etc.), and stakeholder coordination.
  • Vendor & Contractor Collaboration: Manage relationships with artisans, vendors, and contractors; coordinate pricing, schedules, and procurement, especially for SFarea projects .
  • Cultural Design Integration: Embed SouthAsian heritage influences in every design, reflecting MarbleLotuss core values of honoring tradition and craft
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct site inspections and install reviews to uphold high standards of design execution.
  • Mentorship: Offer guidance, feedback, and support to junior designers while fostering a collaborative, creative environment.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Experience : 5+ years of interior design experience, preferably with mid to highend residential or boutique commercial projects, having strong luxurious aesthetic
  • Technical Skill Set: Expertise in project management software and proficient with design tools (AutoCAD, SketchUp/Revit, 3DSMax, Adobe Suite), presentation, and project documentation.
  • Heritage Sensibility: Appreciation for South Asian design elementslotus motifs, marble, brass, traditional prints, textures, and storytelling.
  • Client Engagement: Exceptional client-facing and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiar with artisan sourcing and managing heritage-craft materials.
  • Experience leading teams or mentoring junior designers.
  • We work in a global team and have core collaboration hours of 8:30 pm - 1:00 am IST
  • Someone who can occasionally accommodate US time zones for client meetings
