Job Description

Position: Category Sales Executive

Department: Category Development

Reporting to: Manager

Experience: 2–4 Years

Location: Kolkata (Base Location, with travel as required)

Qualification: Graduate (B.E/B.Tech preferred)

Preferred Industry: Foundry/Steel/Iron/ Metal preferred; B2B industrial sales experience acceptable.

Role Description

We are looking for a dynamic professional to drive growth in the industrial raw materials sector. The role focuses on expanding business by supplying raw materials to ferroalloy, refractory, and foundry manufacturers, along with non-ferrous foundries and primary and secondary steel producers. The individual will work closely with procurement and operations teams to ensure seamless alignment on supply, pricing, and delivery, while achieving revenue goals through B2B sales and strategic trader/channel partnerships.

Key Responsibilities


• Developing 0-to-1 categories by selling raw materials to ferroalloy, refractory, and

foundry raw material manufacturers.


• Developing 0-to-1 categories by selling non-ferrous alloys, ingots, and materials to non-

ferrous foundries, as well as primary and secondary steel manufacturers.


• Developing 0-to-1 categories by selling niche raw materials to primary and secondary

steel manufacturers.


• Work closely with procurement and operations teams to align supply, pricing, and

delivery.


• Achieve revenue targets through B2B sales and trader/channel partnerships.


• Track and report product performance, customer feedback, competitor activity, and

market intelligence.


• Maintain disciplined CRM updates on pipeline progress, quotations, and revenue

conversion.

Desired Attributes


• Strong understanding of industrial raw materials and related markets (ferroalloy,

refractory, foundry, steel, non-ferrous).


• Proven track record in B2B sales, business development, or channel management.


• Ability to build and maintain relationships with manufacturers, traders, and channel

partners.


• Strong negotiation, pricing, and deal-closure skills.


• Analytical mindset with the ability to track market trends, competitor activity, and

customer insights.


• Excellent collaboration skills to work with procurement and operations teams.


• Proactive, self-motivated, and target-driven with a focus on revenue growth.


• Disciplined in maintaining CRM updates and sales pipeline visibility.
