 Position overview

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as the Founders’ Associate, Strategy and Business Operations. You will be directly working with the founders and various functional heads on two fronts. First, driving company-wide rhythm on the cross functional operations across the products / services we are building and offering. Second, owning strategic projects that will be laying the bricks for the longer term arc of the company. You will have a 360-degree view on the workings of the company.

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and managing the day-to-day operations of the company, while taking up a wider role of supporting the founders in various aspects of building Thryve.Earth. The ideal candidate will have a background in consulting or investment banking, with a strong strategic mindset, but most importantly exceptional problem-solving and execution skills.


 Responsibilities

The following are some of the core pieces of work that the Founders’ Associate will take up. However, the efforts could spike on some elements and dip on others based on what the critical priorities for the company at any given point in time are. Capacity across various functions will be added in the organisation as the company grows, and hence the scope will remain dynamic. To reiterate, the successful candidate is able to navigate the dynamic nature of this role.


1.Strategic Planning and Execution:

  • Collaborate closely with the founders to develop and execute the company's strategic initiatives and long-term vision.
  • Conduct thorough market research, competitor analysis, and industry assessments to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation.
  • Translate strategic objectives into actionable plans, ensuring alignment across all departments and functions.
  • Spar with the founding team, critically analyse, and prioritise strategic projects.
  • Keep a pulse check on industry developments to draw insights and help inform the roadmap.


2.Business Operations Management: Oversee day-to-day operations and streamline processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.

  • Implement workflows, embed routines, and support teams with planning and execution.
  • Codify project management/operations workflows to ensure smooth functioning.
  • Subsequently set up the review cadence to reflect and refine for growing needs.
  • Build, Manage, and Report MIS for the company, coordinating with team members.


3.Project Management: Lead cross-functional projects from inception to completion, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.

  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies as needed.
  • Draw insights on performance and run sprints with the team to improve funnel performance.


4.Financial Analysis and Planning: Work closely with the finance team to develop financial models, forecasts, and budgets.

  • Conduct financial analysis to evaluate the performance of existing initiatives and support decision-making on new investments and business opportunities.
  • Provide strategic insights to optimize resource allocation and maximize ROI


5.Executive Support: Serve as a liaison between the founders and various internal and external stakeholders, including customers, investors, and vendors.

  • Act as the point of contact for internal and external communications on behalf of the founders.
  • Develop content and manage communications for investor relations, fundraising, and board meetings.
  • Prepare presentations, reports, and briefing materials for executive meetings and board discussions.


6.Marketing: Develop and implement marketing strategies to support our external presence and brand awareness.

  • As the team grows, work closely with other functions in the organisation to create compelling messaging, and campaigns that resonate with target audiences.


 Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in consulting, investment banking, or strategic planning roles.
  • Proven track record of driving strategic initiatives and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving.
