Job description Key Responsibilities: Warehouse Operations: Assist the Warehouse Manager in overseeing daily warehouse activities, including inventory management, order picking, packing, and shipping. Ensure the efficient use of warehouse space by organizing goods according to company standards. Monitor stock levels and work with the Warehouse Manager to identify replenishment needs. Ensure timely and accurate shipments by overseeing order fulfillment processes. Team Management: Supervise, train, and guide warehouse associates to ensure they meet productivity, safety, and quality standards. Assign tasks to staff members and provide direction on proper procedures. Foster a positive and productive working environment through effective communication and conflict resolution. Inventory Control: Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records, including conducting regular stock audits and cycle counts. Work with the Warehouse Manager to identify and resolve discrepancies in inventory counts. Oversee the implementation of inventory control systems to track goods from receipt to dispatch. Safety & Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Conduct safety audits and inspections regularly to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment. Ensure warehouse operations comply with health, safety, and legal regulations. Reporting & Documentation: Prepare and maintain records of warehouse activities, including shipment logs, inventory records, and employee performance reports. Assist the Warehouse Manager in analyzing warehouse performance data and identifying areas for improvement. Report any operational challenges, issues, or incidents to the Warehouse Manager. Process Improvement: Proactively suggest and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
