Job Summary:

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, inventory management, order fulfillment, and dispatch. The role ensures that warehouse processes are efficient, safe, cost-effective, and aligned with company goals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Warehouse Operations Management

  • Plan, organize, and manage the overall warehouse operations to ensure accurate and timely dispatch of goods.
  • Oversee receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping activities.
  • Maintain optimal stock levels and minimize stock discrepancies.

2. Inventory Control

  • Implement and monitor inventory management systems and cycle counting procedures.
  • Conduct periodic stock audits and reconcile variances.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of all stock movements.

3. People Management

  • Lead, train, and supervise warehouse staff to achieve operational targets.
  • Create shift schedules, allocate tasks, and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

4. Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce safety standards and ensure adherence to OSHA and company safety regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness, order, and compliance in all warehouse areas.
  • Coordinate with security teams to prevent loss, theft, or damage.

5. Process Improvement

  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce costs.
  • Evaluate and optimize use of warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and production teams for smooth material flow.

6. Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare regular reports on warehouse performance, inventory accuracy, and dispatch timelines.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock levels, shipments, and receipts.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in warehouse or logistics management (experience in [industry, e.g., FMCG, manufacturing, e-commerce] preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics systems.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP software, and MS Office.
