Job Title: Assistant Manager/ Manager Warehouse (Oral Solid Dosage)

Department: Warehouse

Location: Banaglore- Harohalli

Job Overview:

Responsible for supervising and managing all warehouse operations related to pharmaceutical oral solid dosage forms, including material receipt, storage, dispensing, and dispatch. The role involves ensuring GMP compliance, preparing and reviewing SOPs, monitoring shop floor activities, and coordinating with production, QA, and regulatory teams to maintain seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Warehouse Operations & Compliance

  • Supervise day-to-day warehouse activities for raw materials, packing materials, and finished goods related to oral solid dosage (OSD) forms.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, GDP, and company SOPs in all warehouse operations.
  • Monitor receipt, sampling, storage, and issuance of materials as per defined procedures.
  • Maintain segregation of materials (quarantine, approved, rejected, and returned).
  • Ensure environmental monitoring and temperature mapping of warehouse areas.

2. Documentation & SOP Management

  • Prepare, review, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to warehouse operations.
  • Ensure timely documentation in ERP/MES systems and batch records.
  • Conduct periodic audits of warehouse documentation and records.

3. Shop Floor & Material Handling

  • Supervise shop floor dispensing activities and ensure proper material movement to and from production.
  • Coordinate with production and QA teams for timely material availability.
  • Ensure correct labeling, traceability, and reconciliation of materials.
  • Oversee housekeeping and safety compliance on the warehouse shop floor.

4. Inventory & ERP System

  • Maintain accurate stock records and perform periodic inventory reconciliations.
  • Generate material status reports and coordinate with planning for stock replenishment.
  • Monitor ERP transactions and ensure data integrity.

5. Compliance, Training & Audits

  • Support internal and external audits (e.g., GMP, WHO, USFDA, MHRA).
  • Train warehouse staff on GMP, GDP, and safety procedures.
  • Identify process improvements and implement best practices for operational efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: B.Pharm / M.Pharm / B.Sc / M.Sc or equivalent.
  • Experience: 58 years of experience in a pharmaceutical warehouse (oral solid dosage) environment.
  • Strong knowledge of GMP/GDP guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / equivalent).
  • Experience in SOP preparation, documentation, and shop floor supervision.
