The role of an IT Administrator Intern typically involves supporting the IT department with various technical and administrative tasks to ensure smooth operation of the organizations IT infrastructure. Here's a breakdown of common responsibilities and duties:
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks.
- Help troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
- Support the installation, configuration, and updating of software and hardware
- Provide technical support to employees for IT-related problems
- Assist in setting up new user accounts, email accounts, and permissions
- Respond to helpdesk tickets and resolve basic IT problems
- Help monitor network performance and connectivity
- Assist in managing firewalls, routers, and switches under supervision
- Support backup and recovery processes
- Maintain documentation of IT processes, system configurations, and user guides.
- Track IT assets and inventory.
- Prepare reports on system performance, incidents, and resolutions.
- Support implementation of security protocols and policies.
- Help with regular updates and patches to ensure security compliance.
- Assist in user training on IT security best practices.
Requirements
