Job Description
We are seeking a highly accomplished and results-driven Business Development Manager - Global to lead our advertiser acquisition initiatives within the Indian market. This is a pivotal role, exclusively focused on forging new advertiser partnerships and driving significant revenue growth in a dynamic and high-growth environment.
This position is designed for a seasoned professional who excels at expanding market presence through innovative performance marketing solutions. You will be at the forefront of our expansion, with a mandate to:
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Client Acquisition: Spearhead comprehensive market analysis to identify and target high-potential advertiser segments, developing and executing strategic sales plans to secure new clients within the affiliate marketing ecosystem.
- Relationship Cultivation: Forge and nurture strategic partnerships with key decision-makers at prospective clients, providing them with consultative solutions that address their business objectives through performance-based advertising.
- Deal Negotiation & Closure: Skillfully negotiate and finalize agreements that maximize revenue and profitability while ensuring mutually beneficial, long-term affiliate relationships.
- Pipeline Management: Proactively generate and qualify high-value leads through a variety of channels, leveraging HubSpot for meticulous tracking and management of the sales pipeline to provide accurate and insightful revenue forecasts.
- Value Proposition Articulation: Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations that effectively communicate our unique value proposition and demonstrate our leadership within the affiliate marketing landscape.
We are seeking a true affiliate BD expert with:
- Mandatory Affiliate BD Experience: Proven, extensive business development experience specifically within the Indian affiliate marketing market. Experience in other sales functions is not a substitute for this core requirement.
- Strong Agency Connections: A well-established network and a track record of building successful relationships with leading advertising agencies in India.
- Relevant Category Expertise: A demonstrated history of successful business development and a strong clientele in key verticals such as Travel, Fashion, Beauty, Retail, E-commerce, Food, or Marketplaces.
- Deep Affiliate Marketing Acumen: A profound understanding of affiliate marketing models (e.g., CPA, CPL, CPC), performance marketing, online advertising, and evolving industry trends.
- Strategic & Analytical Mindset: Exceptional analytical abilities to interpret data, discern market trends, and make data-driven decisions that optimize client partnerships.
- Sales Proficiency: A proven track record in developing and executing strategic sales plans, complemented by superior negotiation and closing skills.
- Technical Savvy: Proficiency in HubSpot for CRM and pipeline management. Familiarity with marketing automation and digital analytics platforms is highly advantageous.
- Exceptional Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport and trust. Compelling presentation and storytelling skills are essential.
- Self-Motivation & Results-Orientation: A robust work ethic and an unwavering focus on achieving ambitious revenue and client acquisition targets.
- Flexibility & Travel: The flexibility to travel within and outside India as required for key client meetings and industry events.
- Location: Residence in a major Indian metropolitan city is required, with a strong preference for New Delhi.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in affiliate or performance marketing, with a dedicated focus on new advertiser acquisition.
- A proven track record of consistently exceeding sales quotas and successfully onboarding new advertisers.
- A comprehensive understanding of affiliate marketing and performance-based advertising models.
- Excellent networking and relationship-building skills.
- Demonstrates a strong commitment to professional growth and organizational success, as evidenced by a consistent tenure of at least three years with each previous employer.
