About the Role:


We are seeking a highly skilled Service, Planning, and Applications Engineer to join our team in India. In this role, you will support our Gridtec and Windtec Solution by conducting in-depth field event analysis, power system studies, and modeling related to products. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of our advanced power solutions, including FACTS systems, power electronic converters, energy storage solutions, and high-capacity superconductor cable systems.


Key Responsibilities:


- Perform detailed application and design studies for products.

- Conduct post-event analysis to evaluate product performance and address any issues identified.

- Utilize network analysis software to perform load flow, transient stability, and electromagnetic transient studies.

- Analyze power systems for renewable energy integration, transmission, distribution expansion, voltage stability, and power quality.

- Develop and maintain software models for STATCOM and wind converter products.

- Prepare technical reports, study results, and project proposals.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with utility planners, engineers, and industry consultants.

- Conduct PSSE dynamic simulations and analyze data for wind turbine performance.

- Stay updated on CEA guidelines and grid codes.

- Prepare performance reports for D-VAR, VVO projects, and evaluate power curve performance.


Qualifications:


- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred) with a focus on power systems.

- 1-5 years of experience in power systems analysis or power electronics, or 5-10 years of experience in power utility or power systems consulting.

- Proficiency in transient stability simulation tools (PSS®️E, PSLF, or Power Factory).

- Knowledge of electromagnetic transients and experience with simulation tools like PSCAD and EMTP-RV.

- Familiarity with distribution planning software (CYME, Milsoft WindMil®️, DNV-GL Synergi).

- Understanding of power electronics, control systems, and their applications in utility or industrial environments.

- Programming skills (FORTRAN, C, or Python preferred).

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present technical content.

- Willingness to travel up to 30%, including international trips.
