Job Summary:


As the Head of Business Development for the Green Energy Division, you will lead strategic initiatives to grow our client’s market presence in Green Energy solutions. This role requires deep expertise in P&L management, market expansion, and sales strategy within mechanical equipment industries. Your focus will be on driving growth in Green Energy applications for renewable energy markets.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead P&L management for the division, optimizing revenue, controlling costs, and ensuring financial objectives are achieved.
  • Develop financial forecasts, pricing strategies, and margin improvement plans to maximize profitability.
  • Define and execute comprehensive business development strategies, focusing on market expansion and capturing new revenue streams in the Green Energy market.
  • Identify and assess emerging opportunities within the production sector, aligning with trends in renewable energy.
  • Oversee account planning, customer segmentation, pipeline development, and demand forecasting to consistently meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Collaborate with engineering and R&D teams to align product development with market needs, supporting innovations in Green Energy-compatible mechanical equipment.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key clients, including renewable energy firms, industrial gas companies, and OEMs, to drive customer satisfaction, retention, and long-term partnerships.
  • Work closely with senior management to secure internal support for business development initiatives and provide regular updates on growth progress.
  • Conduct detailed market analysis on trends in green energy production, industry regulatory requirements, and competitive landscape.
  • Assess and mitigate risks associated with new business ventures, contracts, and strategic partnerships to ensure sustainable growth.
  • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing business development team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Set performance goals, provide regular coaching, and ensure alignment with company objectives and core values.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Experience: 25+ years in business development, P&L management, and sales, specifically with any mechanical equipment like Valve, Turbine, Pumps, Compressors, Heat exchangers, etc.
  • Ability to lead market expansion initiatives with a strong understanding of mechanical equipment applications.
  • Expertise in P&L, financial forecasting, and budget management to drive profitability.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and client engagement skills to drive collaboration across departments and externally.
