Our aim is to build an India-based semiconductor portfolio of Smart Devices across MEMS Sensors, Power, Analog Mixed Signal & RF products, to support Automotive, Industrial, Energy and Telecommunication verticals.
We have a presence four prominent geographies US, Europe, Japan and India, with offices in Austin, Munich, London, Tokyo, Bangalore and Chennai.

PURPOSE
The Foundry Director is a key Technology role responsible for defining, implementing, and managing all aspects of current and long-term Foundry and OSAT technology sourcing strategies to effectively source foundry capacity that meet customer expectations of supply, quality, technology, and cost. Including maintaining relationships with Internal and External stakeholders. Implements comprehensive agreements with suppliers outlining all commercial, capacity, and technical aspects.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Work with Foundry partners, Internal design, and Product teams to explore and assess technologies and enable Engineering and Marketing teams with Technology Benchmarking.
Arrange Process Design Kit (PDK) for various technology nodes from Foundries and package technology information from OSAT Partners.
Define process and reliability debug test structures to be incorporated in test chips and products.
Work with multi-functional teams in bringing up test chips, debug process issues, and identify process and design interaction failures.
Track and ensure process meets sufficient margins for volume production ramp.
Build strong partnership relationship at key Foundry and OSAT partners.
Work with foundry suppliers to meet capacity, cycle time, delivery, quality, and cost needs.
Collaborate with Internal Teams, including Supply Chain, Business units, Finance, Legal, Engineering, and Management for escalation issues.
Develop and execute a foundry management strategy to ensure adequate capacity and competitive pricing for the products.
Analyse foundry markets and develop cost reduction strategies.
Work closely with product marketing team for cost analysis and cost modelling for the products.
Manage foundry performance & conduct QBR including action plans in key areas of Technology, Quality, Service, Delivery, and Cost.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION
Bachelors (or equivalent experience) in Electrical or Electronics engineering, Masters preferred.
8+ years in Process Technology, Foundry Technology interface or related fields
3+ years of leadership experience
Strong knowledge of CMOS, BCD, SiC, GaN process and packaging technologies and device.
Experience or knowledge of reliability and product bring up is a plus.
Background in Litho and OPC or DFM is a plus.
Knowledge of design and simulation is a plus.
TECHNICAL AND BEHAVIOURAL SKILLS
Technical Skills:
Semiconductor Manufacturing Processes: A strong understanding of semiconductor fabrication processes is essential, including photolithography, etching, deposition, and wafer processing.
Process Optimization: Ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement strategies to enhance yield, throughput, and efficiency. Experience with statistical process control (SPC) methodologies and data analysis tools is beneficial.
Quality Assurance: Knowledge of quality management systems and methodologies, including ISO standards and semiconductor industry standards. Experience in implementing quality control processes to ensure product reliability and consistency.
Project Management: Experience in managing complex projects within a semiconductor manufacturing environment, including project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management.
Behavioural Skills:
Leadership: Strong leadership qualities to inspire and motivate teams, set clear goals, and drive performance excellence. Ability to provide direction, guidance, and mentorship to team members to foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey technical information, articulate vision and strategies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Ability to communicate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, business requirements, and technological advancements in the semiconductor industry. Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to identify problems, analyze data, and develop innovative solutions. Ability to think creatively and systematically approach complex technical challenges.
