Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented
Manual Tester
to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of quality assurance processes and a passion for ensuring the delivery of high-quality mobile and web applications. In this role, you will implement what you've learned so far in a controlled environment under a senior leader. You will also work closely with our developers and project managers to test applications, identify bugs, and ensure smooth functionality across platforms. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in QA while implementing their book knowledge into real life internal projects.

NOTE:

• This is a
  FULL-TIME (8hrs a Day Commitment) Intern role
  (unpaid until completion of internship).
• Pqxel
  does not outsource any work to contractors, so please do not apply if you are currently working on multiple other projects.

Responsibilities:

·       Perform
manual testing
on mobile and web applications to ensure they meet the requirements and specifications.

·       Identify and document defects, issues, and inconsistencies found during testing.

·       Collaborate with the development and product teams to resolve issues and validate fixes.

·       Ensure that web and mobile applications are user-friendly, functional, and responsive across different devices and browsers.

·       Test applications against functional, regression, and user acceptance criteria.

·       Create and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts.

·       Conduct testing on new features and updates, providing timely feedback.

·       Assist in improving the testing process by suggesting best practices and tools.

·       Maintain clear and thorough documentation of test results and issue reports.

·       Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in manual testing.

Requirements

·       Strong understanding of manual testing principles and techniques.

·       Experience with testing mobile and web applications on different platforms (Android, iOS, Chrome, Firefox, etc.).

·       Familiarity with bug tracking tools like JIRA, Trello, or Bugzilla.

·       Ability to develop and execute test cases based on functional specifications.

·       Strong attention to detail and ability to identify issues quickly.

·       Excellent communication skills to work with cross-functional teams and provide clear issue reports.

·       Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for web application testing.

·       Knowledge of mobile testing tools (e.g., Appium) is a plus.

·       Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

·       Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required).

Nice to have

·       Experience with test automation (e.g., Selenium, Appium).

·       Knowledge of API testing and using tools like Postman.

·       Familiarity with testing frameworks and tools like Jest or Mocha.

Compensation

·       Unpaid internship during probationary 3 months

· to 6 months – 5,000 INR a month Stipend

· to 12 months – 10,000 INR a month

·       Project Commission: 1% from the project GP. For example, if Pqxel makes $20,000 on a project in GP, you'll be paid 1% of this as commission if delivered in time and paid in full. For this example, your payment will be $200 which translates to 12,000 INR paid towards this project.

Location

·       Though the job is primarily remote, employees would be required to attend any local company events if invited.

Timings

·       All employees are required to work 4 to 8 hours per day (including internal meetings during fixed EST hours) and complete time sheets and other documentation essential for the success of this role.

·       Employees may also need to work extended hours or weekends in situations with tight deadlines.
