Job Title: Solution Architect - Manufacturing Execution System (MES)


Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect with a strong background in Manufacturing

Execution Systems (MES) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of

manufacturing processes, coupled with technical expertise in designing and implementing MES

solutions. The Solution Architect will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to analyse

requirements, architect solutions, and oversee the implementation of MES systems to optimize

manufacturing operations.


Responsibilities:

Solution Design: Lead the design and architecture of MES solutions tailored to meet specific

manufacturing requirements of 2/3/4 wheeler manufacturing. Work closely with stakeholders to

gather and analyse business needs, translating them into scalable and efficient system designs.


Technical Expertise: Serve as the subject matter expert in MES technologies, including but not

limited to Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM), real-time data collection, shop floor

integration, and workflow automation. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously enhance solution offerings. Expertise on Siemens MEM/MOM platform is preferred.


System Integration: Collaborate with internal and external teams to integrate MES solutions with existing enterprise systems such as ERP, PLM, SCADA, and IIoT platforms. Ensure seamless data exchange and interoperability across systems for enhanced visibility and control.


Customization and Configuration: Provide guidance on customizing and configuring MES software platforms to align with unique manufacturing processes and business requirements. Develop and maintain configuration standards and best practices.


Quality Assurance: Define and implement testing strategies to ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of MES solutions. Conduct thorough testing and validation to identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies.


Project Management: Lead MES implementation projects from inception to completion, including project planning, resource allocation, risk management, and timeline adherence. Coordinate activities across multiple teams and stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget.


Training and Documentation: Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for end-users and technical staff on MES system functionalities, best practices, and troubleshooting techniques. Create comprehensive documentation including system architecture diagrams, configuration guides, and technical specifications.


Continuous Improvement: Support Day 2 Day issues in existing MES systems. Drive continuous

improvement initiatives to optimize MES solutions and enhance manufacturing processes.

Proactively identify areas for improvement and propose innovative solutions to address business

challenges and achieve operational excellence.


Qualifications:

Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Minimum of 8 years of experience in architecting and implementing Manufacturing Execution

Systems (MES).

Minimum of 3 Years of experience with Siemens MES/MOM software.

Knowledge on other MES software platforms such as Apriso FlexNet, Wonderware MES, or

equivalent is a plus point.

Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including production scheduling, quality

management, inventory control, and traceability.

Experience with system integration methodologies and technologies (e.g., APIs, web services,

middleware).

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Solid project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified MES Engineer, Certified Manufacturing Technologist) are a

plus.
