Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Bengaluru, India


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Drive the improvement of the manufacturing processes to ensure product quality, cost, and on-time delivery.
  • Develops, implements and maintains methods, operation sequence and processes in the manufacturing of sub-assemblies and final assemblies.
  • Interfaces with other engineering functions to coordinate the release of product improvements and/or new products. Launches, releases, approves and implements or issues engineering change requests as required to support design engineering and Operations with new and existing products.
  • Reviews new designs for manufacturability and makes recommendations to design engineering on manufacturability (DFMA) improvements.
  • Conduct effective supplier visits in evaluating and managing new and existing suppliers.
  • Direct and independently manage manufacturing process/quality implementation of required changes and modifications at suppliers.
  • Estimates manufacturing costs, determines time standards and makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements. Uses DFx principles to reduce manufacturing and/or product costs, and improve delivered product quality.


Qualifications:

  • B.E in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
  • 5-7 years of experience in Equipment Manufacturing / Medical devices /Aerospace / Semiconductor Manufacturing Industry.
  • Solid understanding of electrical systems, manufacturing processes, and quality systems.
  • Highly proficient at using hand and power tools.
  • Experience in ISO Certification is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
